1. Can jellyfish live forever?

The Turritopsis Dohrnii (ocean4future.org)

The Turritopsis Dohrnii, also known as the Immortal Jellyfish, is a very unique creature able to revert from maturity to infancy and thus live forever!

Once reaching sexual maturity they propagate and then, facing the normal path of dying, they opt instead to revert to a sexually immature stage. That is to say, they transform themselves back into their juvenile polyp state – their tentacles retract, their bodies shrink, they sink to the ocean floor and start the cycle all over again.
